Friday Feature: "Freckles In Her Eyes" dangle earrings
Today's feature is "Freckles In Her Earrings" dangle earrings handcrafted by yours truly. These are my favorite modern, yet kitschy, earrings to date!
I am smitten over these vintage lucite white & gold speckled turquoise lentil shaped beads.
Their name is inspired by one of my favorite bands, The Postal Service's song, "Such Great Heights". It's such a lovely song.
The band is composed of two talented fellows, that I admire very much, Ben Gibbard from Death Cab For Cutie and Jimmy Tamborello from Dntel.
These earrings are shipped in, I must say, an adorable jewelry box. The box's lid features my collage artwork.
(Click on the photos above to be directed to my Etsy shop’s listing or here.)

Fold... Staple... Punch... Repeat
My pink-handled scissors have taken a short break. I'll be picking them up again, but I needed a break from the first step... after doing it for 3 hours straight. Haha!
After cutting many, many shapes from the pages of a vintage dictionary... I moved onto folding, stapling, and punching. Finally that box of staples that I've been hoarding for almost ten years will get some use!
You know what's awesome about using dictionary pages? You won't be paying any attention to the words but then, all of the sudden, your mind will get glued in and you'll see a certain word that brings back a bunch of memories!
This has been quite the project. Thank goodness I have loads of patience. Indeed there are still some steps on the road ahead!
Onward!
Friday Feature
Snip... snip... snip...
My pink handled scissors have been very busy lately. Once again I've been cutting through pages of yet another vintage dictionary.
Don't you just love the gold lettered tabs of this Merriam-Webster? Growing up my family had a similar navy blue dictionary.
Can anyone guess of what I'm making? In a few days I will be posting more pictures of this new craft project. Sneaky, huh? Stay tuned.
